Ready, Set, Jump

Sometimes God asks you to jump!

Nick and I are very different when it comes to getting in a pool.
I am a kick off your flip flop, throw your towel down, and cannonball into the deep end kinda girl. Nick is a slowly and methodically inch your way down the steps and into the shallow end, while holding your nose, kinda guy.

This pool entry speaks volumes of how we approach life...
but we are doing it....
holding hands and ....
jumping off together....
to adopt a child from South Korea!

  1. ML and Nick,

There are not words to describe how excited I am for the two of you! This child will be blessed beyond belief to have the two of you as parents. TJ and I will be praying for you through every step of this incredible journey. God is going to demonstrate his love, faithfulness, power and provision during the coming months as you await the child that He has planned for you to parent. Put us to work in any way to help bring home Baby Brown!

    We love you guys!

  3. Hey guys,

I know how long you have prayed about this and the lengthy process you have gone through with the decision to take this step. As you both know I am adopted and all I can tell you is this..... Adopted children never have to wonder about what love really is, they never have the fear of being unloved or unwanted, they never question that love is bigger than one person and most importantly they never wonder if love is negotiable. By adopting this child you will truly be fullfilling one of God's greatest commands..... and living the prophecy, "that which you have done unto the least of these, so have you also done unto me". There is no greater expression of love than this and I am so thankful the two of you are giving this to a child. Be blessed and enjoy this journey and know that what you are doing WILL quite litterally mean the world to a child, I know this for a fact!

Love and blessings to you both,
    David

  8. You know the Cookeville visits will consist of (boy or girl) digging for worms, playing in the rain and YES, lots of nail polish! We are thrilled for the Brown family! I will have a t-shirt made that says "I belong to baby brown...Watch me dance!"
