Mo no mo'

Can we just take a minute to re-read the title of this post cause it makes me laugh....
Mo no Mo'

Mo offically has a name; he is Mo no more!

Our son's name is
Bates Martin Jeong Brown

Family names are a tradition in my family, and I just love the tradition.
Bates is my mothers maiden name. Martin is Nick's late Granny's maiden name.

Mo was given a Korean name by his birthparents: Jeong Hwan.
Jeong means "righteous" and Hwan means "to shine".
Their wish for him is to grow up honest and wonderful.

I love that they named him and his name had meaning. I want to keep a part of that for him, so we are keeping Jeong. I know his name will be a mouth full and will cause some issues on standardized testing, but it's important for me to keep it. It's part of him.

Bates, you are our son. Your name was picked just for you, just as you were picked just for us, and we were picked just for you. Like your birth parents, we wish and pray that you grow up honest and wonderful and can't wait to live that life with you. We are coming soon sweet baby!
