We are "matched" with him currently. He will officially become our referral when our homestudy is completed and approved by Korea. Once it's an official match and we have signed the official paperwork, then we will be able to share his picture on here.
Mo's birthday is December 30th. You all know December is MY birthday month, but I'm so happy to be sharing it with him!
I'm also sad his birthday is December 30th. Mo will celebrate his first birthday with his foster family in Korea and not us, but we will have the rest of his birthdays together. Oh, and don't worry, I plan on having him a "birthday" party once we get him home!
Mo is living with foster parents who I know love him very much!
Mo is a shrimp. He's just a little fella. He weights about 16 pounds currently. Don't worry, we will fatten him up with some good ole fried southern food!
We have three videos of him and a MOUND of paperwork. We are so blessed with all the information from Korea.
Our time line is about 4-6 mths to go get him we've been told, but in the adoption world, the only predictable thing is that it's all unpredictable. We have to finish our homestudy, which will happen next week, get it approved by the Korean government and get immigration paperwork for Mo. Then we just wait.... and wait... and wait....
We can, and are going to, send Mo a care package! I'm so excited! We are going to send an outfit, some pictures of us, a couple of little toys, and some disposable cameras.
As you know, we were in the Waiting Child Program. That means Mo has some medical issues and/or special needs. We feel confident about his prognosis and know our God will provide for him and us as we become family. We pray for health for our baby and know the journey may have some unknowns. We ask you to pray for him too!
I'll leave you with this little peek of him. Can't wait to get my hands on these hands!

He is perfect. I can already tell. I am so happy for both of you! He is two months younger than Emma! I know that you can't wait to see him. Best wishes and keep us posted. :) Laura Jones
ReplyDeleteGood lookin' hands! Should be able to palm a basketball one day, don't you think? I just want to kiss 'em!
ReplyDeleteOh Mary Leigh and Nick!!! I am soooo happy for you!!! I can't wait to see Mo's sweet little face! Congratulations Mommy and Daddy!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful little hands!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am and will continue to pray for all of you!
We had a little guy too. JD wasn't 20 lbs until well after his first birthday--I think he stayed in a rear facing car seat until he was 18 months old.
ReplyDeleteWe're so excited for you guys!!!
