I played basketball in high school. I wasn't a settler offensive player, but I loved DEFENSE! I loved to cause turnovers. It was my goal to steal the ball as many times as possible (even if it meant fouling in the process)
Now, we when were on offensive, a turnover wasn't so great. And it was so frustrating when I was the one who turned the ball over - although this only happened a few times :o).
So I guess a turnover can be a good or bad thing, depending on what side of the ball you are on.
Well, today we had a turnover in our adoption. We finished our homestudy interview and home tour with Kim. We have finished our paperwork, and have turned it over to others. The ball is no longer in our court. We have turned the ball over.
It's exciting to be moving forward, but it's also so hard for me to let go. So far Nick and I have been in charge of the speed of things. We moved as fast as we could get the paperwork in, fingerprints done, etc, but now, we have no control, it's all out of our hands.
We all know I am not good at not being in charge.
It's a turnover.... we'll see how the home team does.
