The 1-600a is the form that the US government must approve for Nick and I to be allowed to bring an orphan into the country. It's called an orphan petition.
As part of that approval, we had to have fingerprints done.

Everything went smoothly, we arrived early (of course!) and didn't even have to wait. They were very nice. In fact, we were the 4th set of adoption fingerprinting they had done that morning.
The lady told Nick I had "good fingerprints". Guess I shouldn't consider a life of crime, since I'd leave such good fingerprints behind!
As we were leaving, Nick said, "well, we don't need to commit any crimes, cause now we are in the federal database!"
USCIS fingerprint: check.
One more step closer.....
