such is the rollercoaster of adoption, part two

Can I get an E - E
Can I get a P- P

Know what that spells, EP and that's what Bates was submitted for yesterday!!!

EP is the Emmigration Permit. This is the first step in the process to get permission from Korea for Bates to come home. This is a HUGE, BIG deal. We didn't think we would get submitted until at least February, and even that was with fingers crossed. We should get approval from the EP within 3-4 weeks.

And, more news from today, our fantastic, wonderful, amazing agency approved us for a $2,000 grant!

So yesterday was a hard day- a low on the roller coaster. You know the feeling, like you come racing down the hill and you are almost out of your seat and then you are forced back into your seat with such pressure (it's called gravity, but whatever...) - well that was my yesterday, so heavy and hard. It's like I couldn't get going.

Yesterday this is what I felt like....

But meanwhile, God (and the Korean government) were on the other side of the world submitting my son for an Emmigration Permit.

I look at our journey so far and see God's hands all over it. When I'm down, He's busy working on my behalf, He hasn't stopped, He has given up. I can't wait to look back on this journey and see all the wonderful ways God has blessed us that I've been to busy to see.

can I just note that normally, travel takes place about a month after EP approval. you know what that means..... could be like 8 weeks more and then I'll be holding my son!!!
(that is if everything goes smoothly, which we are praying it will!)

Now I feel a little more like this....
