ABC and 123

Today was a big milestone in the Brown house.

I registered Bates for a 2 day a week preschool!
He will start his school in August, but pre-registration started today. I, of course, was there before they opened with my paperwork!

He will be going to Lascassas Baptist Church Preschool on Mondays and Wednesday for half day. It's absolutely perfect. It's on my way to work and I'll get to still work part time, be home with him some, and he will get the chance to hang out with kids his own age and learn!

I'll be honest, I was that mom. You know, emailing the director a list of questions! I couldn't help it. I wanted to make sure it was a good fit for him. The last thing I want to do is damage his attachment by sending him to school too early. The director is super nice and told me I was welcome to bring him by anytime and hang out with him some to get him used to school.

I feel so comfortable in our decision, despite my one moment of freak out after I turned in the paperwork.... I can't believe my son, who isn't here yet, is registered for preschool!

It was so surreal to write Bates Brown in the blank for child's name. I'm sure this is the first of many surreal moments in mommyhood!
