Date Night #1

I know our date nights will be few and far between when Bates gets home. So in order to spend a little quality time together and to count down to his arrival, we are having WEEKLY date nights. We are taking turns planning the night, and last week was my week and the first date night.

I planned pizza and a puzzle.
I know, lamo' right? Nick said he felt like grandparents. But I like pizza and I like doing puzzles and it was MY date night.

Nick picked up a pizza (and wings) on the way home from work and we had dinner on plate plates, super classy. Then we broke out the 3 foot puzzle I bought last week. It's a night skyline shot of Chicago, which is one of our favorite cities in the world!



Ok, puzzle= super hard. We got outline and part of the bottom done. It's still on our coffee table.... half finished, maybe just 1/4 way finished, actually more like 1/8!


But it wasn't about finishing the puzzle, it was about spending some quality time together, and that we did.

    Great idea! I think we are going to hit the movies tonight. We won't be going very often once Kyle is here:-)

    I love puzzles too!! I did some with Nate the other day....it had 5 pieces and it took him 30 min! Precious! :)

    Can't wait to hear what Nick has planned for his date night....I have a feeling it will be VERY different from yours, haha!
