I'm everything...

If you ask me how I'm feeling, the best answer I can give you is "everything". I feel so many emotions, it's unreal.

Let me see if I can name a few for you...

Overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support for us in the "home stretch" of our journey

Thrilled to be headed to Korea to see the face of my son and not just a picture

Stressed about getting things tied up at work and on the home front

Clueless on being a parent!

Heartbroken for Bates' Foster Family. Next week will be incredibly difficult for them as they hand us a child they have raised as their own for over a year.

Ecstatic to experience Korea, the land that gave me my son

Dazed about where to even begin to start packing!

Sad for Bates. His world is about to be flipped upside down and in one moment he will be ripped from the only family he has ever know, the only land he has ever known, the only language he has ever know. I'm sad for him and all that he will loose. (Now I know he is also gaining so much, but I can't help but hurt for him and his losses and love him through his grief)

Overjoyed to bring my son home and watch him grow

Nervous about a very very very long plane ride. Ugh.

Excited to see our family and friends at the airport when we arrive in Nashville as a family of three!

Prayful that God will easy our transition into a family of three, and flipping those days to nights!

Curious to come to know the little boy I am so in love with

Worried about bonding and attachment

Hopefully that deep in Bates' soul is a place that will know us as his parents

Thankful to Bates' foster family and the love and care they have provided to our son. That boy is deeply loved by his foster mom and dad.

And that is just the tip of the iceberg!!!
