I was too hungry (remember, we slept through dinner last night) so we hit the breakfast bar before I showered. Nick had rice again (I'm thinking he might start asking for rice for breakfast when we get home!)
After breakfast we found the convenience store, but we left our money (wons) in the room. So we headed back up stairs and Nick grabbed the money and I hit the shower.
Now see this little thing....
You have to put your room card in it to turn the lights on and it has to stay in the holder for the lights to stay on. So I'm showering and then all of a sudden, complete darkness. I hollered for Nick and he opened the door and said, oh, guess I can't go downstairs till after you shower! Ha!
He got a razor and we got ready. I plugged in my straighter and NOTHING! Yesterday when I was getting ready, it wouldn't warm up when plugged in the thing that makes it go from 220 volts to 110, so I just plugged it right in the adapter. It popped and made some funny noises, but worked. Well, apparently I killed it! So sad. My hair needs a straighter!
We got ready and hit the subway to Lotte Mall. The subway was SUPER packed this morning. It was an adventure getting on with all the people.
On the way back to our hotel, we stoppped back at Insadong. We bought a traditional Korean mask, a set of wedding ducks for us (we haven't gotten Bates' yet), and a few other goodies.
Now we are back in the room, eating our snack from the store- string cheese and chips. Shopping for food was fun, we just looked at the pictures. I said, oh these look like Doritos. Ha!
Our gifts are ready. We are changing clothes. Then headed to Holt.
In all honesty, it hasn't hit me yet. I'm not nervous or anything. I just can't wait to see my son. We have a few toys and snacks packed. We plan on bribing him to like us!
By the way, we couldn't find a straightner, apparently Korean women have great straight hair, so my hair looks like poo. Oh well, right?!?
Bates will love your hair either way :)! You crack me up MLB. Your blog is a ton of fun!!!! I can't wait to see photos of Bates with his new family. ~Elfkin
