Tonight

After meeting Bates (and blogging for yall) we were back out on the town. I needed to get out of the room and stop crying! Sheesh!

We stopped at the front desk and asked how to get to an E Mart. EMart is kinda like a Super Target. I was assume it's Lotte Mart's competition. We wanted to pick up a cd of Korean Children Music. After our meeting today, I think we might need it!

We found our way to the subway station that EMart was at and according to the hotel front desk, we couldn't miss it. Well.... the subway station dumps you in the middle of a 6 story mall. The place was HUGE! It took about 4 wrong turns and then we finally found ourselves down to the basement to E Mart.

E Mart was fun! We bought a Pororo microphone for Bates, since his foster mom said he acts like he's holding one when he sings and dances. We picked up a Korean Childrens Cd combo. We have NO IDEA what's on it, but the cover looked fun.

We also picked up a few Pororo toys for Bates' buddy, Ji-uk.

After we left EMart we headed back to our hotel and stopped at the Pizza Hut at Seoul Station. We were seated and just sat and sat and sat. Nobody ever came to check on us. Finally this guy comes over and asks if we are ready. We ordered a fondue cheese crust with half Bulgogi and half Cheesy Potato. It was so YUMMY!
The crust pulled off and was full of cheese and sweet potato that you dipped in a cheese fondue.

After we ordered two Korean girls were sat beside us. We watched them push this little button on the table and then the waiter came. Well.... who would have known that's what this little button on the back of our table was for. Silly Americans.

We headed back to the hotel. Man, Seoul is fun at night. Their are LCD screen on all the buildings. One building was covered in LCD lights and fun little silhouettes would show on it.
In the subway, I took a few self portraits.
This lady was in the subway selling chickens, cats, and puppies. They were so cute and random!
A shot of our hotel at night down the back alley.
Now we are back in the room, I'm wrapped up in the hotel robe, which I love. We are going to call it a night. Another fun day in Seoul tomorrow, this time with a tour guide!

  1. We went to e-mart too! It tooke us forever and we took several wrong turns as well!!! We were also told it would be easy to find. It must be a funny joke to play on unsuspecting tourists. I loved Seoul too!!! It was such a great city!!!
I hope things go better with Bates!

  4. Have Eric (don't know him!) write TLC for a reality show. Do that for a couple of years, get famous and then they will ask you to go on Dancing with the Stars!! You'll get to wear all of those itty-bitty dancing outfits with high heels, get extensions, vaneers on your teeth and your whole goofy and loud family will be in the audience holding Bates who will also be yelling....."You go Momma!"

  5. I'm so glad I found ya'll :) got your site off Whittaker Woman. We were in Seoul a year and a half ago to get our sweet Molly. I loved the city!! We were only there for three full days...hope your trip home is smooth. The Korean flight attendants ran to Molly every time she cried and gave her ice... :)
