getting matched with Mo, part 2

I spent most of the rest of Monday night on google working on getting an online MD for all my research. I also emailed the medical file to Dr. Jenista.

While I was online, I was chatting on facebook with my friend Jeanine (LOVE HER!) and of course, big mouth here had to share the news with her! She has four adopted babies and she is a great sounding board, listening ear, cheerleader, and support system. Nick and I are so lucky to have their family (and all our other adoptive friends) in our lives! Jeanine pointed me in the direction of a local pediatrician who could also review his medical file for us. I warned Jeanine that the international adoption doctor was supposed to call us on Tuesday and if she happened to call during our Adoption Support Group meeting, that I would just throw my book at her and run out of the room!

On Tuesday (Oct 20th) I called the local pediatrican and made an appointment for the following day, since I was off work. I waited for Dr. Jenista to call. I had already done extensive research, so I felt fairly comfortable with most of the noted medical concerns.

Dr. Jenista called around lunch. She is very professional, and very thorough. She is very factual and to the point. I got off the phone and was kinda down. I mean I felt like he was our son, but I guess I was looking for someone to say, "oh yeah, you should adopt him. he is yours!"

After talking to mom, I realized no doctor was going to do that, they couldn't. They were just giving me a "worst case" and everything is so black and white.

I called Nick to give him the report from the doctor.

Tuesday night was our normal adoption small group meeting at church. Let's just say I was a scatter brain! I left things at home I need for the group, I didn't have my act together. Thanks for being patient with me folks!

After meeting, we stopped our friend Troy. Troy and his wife Amber are some other great new friends that we are so lucky to have. We shared our news with Troy and told him to tell Amber. Amber is a pediatric physical therapist and we wanted her to evaluate his medical file. Troy is so sweet and stop and prayed with us for "our son."

Wait till you here about our whirlwind Wednesday.....
